The Higher Education Leadership and Administration (HELA) graduate students are cosponsoring a holiday toy drive with the Office of Mission and Ministry. HELA students are focused on doing good works to help those in our neighborhood. This toy drive is for the Resource Council of WNY, located less than one mile from campus. After the toy drive ends on campus, donations will be dropped off to the community partner, and on Saturday, Dec. 14, the toys collected from the Canisius Community will be given out to our neighborhood community.
In the season of giving, in the City of Good Neighbors, please consider buying a new toy for a child who might not receive one otherwise. The drive started Monday, Dec. 2, and concludes Tuesday, Dec. 10. You will see the toy donation boxes decorated by kids, in the Old Main faculty lounge, the ALANA Student Center and Christ the King Chapel.
If you have questions, reach out to Tiare Baird (baird4@canisisus.edu) or Phil Reutter (reutterp@canisius.edu).

To ensure smooth parking for all Canisius guests, we have established a streamlined process for requesting guest/visitor parking permits.
Step 1: Submit a Parking Pass Request
- Eligibility: Email parking request to the designated office administrator for your vice president- (Academic Affairs, Athletics, Business/Finance, Enrollment, Advancement, Student Affairs, or the President’s Office). Please make sure to include date(s) needed, how many vehicles, and where they will be on campus.
- Deadline: Requests must be submitted at least 24 hours prior to the guest’s arrival to ensure processing.
Step 2: Approval and Permit Issuance
- Once submitted, your request will be reviewed by the parking management team. Once approved, the requestor will receive an Email with a link to forward to your visitor/guest. The link will prompt visitors to create a Guest Login and enter their vehicle information.
- Each time a guest comes to campus, a new link will need to be requested, but guest login credentials remain the same.
- Expiration: All permits are valid for the requested time period and specific assigned lots. If additional time is needed, a new request must be submitted.
Step 3: Enforcement
- Please note that a virtual parking permit entitles the registrant to park only if there is available space in the parking lot for which the permit is valid.
- Any vehicle without an approved request in the system will be subject to citation or towing at the vehicle owner’s expense.
Appeals
- If an individual feels that they may have been issued a ticket in error or there are extenuating circumstances, they can appeal the ticket.
- Appeals must be submitted within 15 days of the issuance of a citation. All appeals must be submitted online at www.parking.canisius.edu
Important Notes:
- Parking permits are required to park in any campus lot
- Overnight parking is ONLY allowed in residential lots
- Relaxed parking on weekdays after 4:30 p.m., weekends and holidays in Employee General/Commuter/Employee Reserved lots
Please visit the link below for additional parking details:
