ThankFul Update:
Chartwells Higher Ed, Canisius USA and Canisius RHA are teaming up to host ThankFul Sit Down Dinner on Thursday November 18 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is a take on the annual faculty served Thanksgiving meal, where faculty come together with our Chartwells team to serve guests dinner.
We are looking for faculty volunteers to sign up for this unique event. To sign up please click on the following link.

Thank-Ful is a campus-wide friendsgiving event focused on celebrating togetherness, expressing gratitude and giving back to the Buffalo community. This event is going to highlight the fact that we are back on campus and celebrating together as the Canisius community.
The event will feature a friendsgiving table that consists of classic Thanksgiving meal items, give-back activities and a Thank-Ful wall for people to share their gratitude for others. As a part of this incredible event, we are hosting a canned food drive for the entire month of November with a bin in the faculty lounge or dining hall. We will be serving turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy and much more.
Please join us for the fun as we give thanks and feast on some delicious food!

We are a little more than half way through World Food Month! To celebrate, Chartwells Higher Ed is accepting donations up to $5 at our retail locations on campus.
The money will go towards purchasing non-perishable food items to help the Buffalo City Mission with Thanksgiving, which is approaching fast. Please donate whatever you can towards this great cause. Let’s show the community what Canisius College is made of!

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
Thank you.
Thank you for not only showing up and supporting Friday’s Festi-ful event, but for donating towards helping your fellow Canisius College students in need. This amazing event opened at 10:00 a.m. and we instantly had a line at the donation table as well as each station ready to try some of the delicious food items that were offered. During the event we had raised $2,289 to help us bring the food pantry back better than ever before. This was accomplished through the generosity of not only the students and faculty, but President Hurley’s generous donation.
Throughout the four hour event we tallied a total of 620 people that stopped in to enjoy the food, music, games, and Bubly Swag. We played Spin the Wheel and Coin Flip Madness for various prizes and EVERYONE WAS A WINNER!! Hameed Ali (Mr. Frostee) and Shoppe 120 hosted the ice cream stand as well as the playlist for the event (“Hits of the 2000’s” and “Hits of ’09 through ’12”). Jim, one of our Pepsi representatives, was the guy behind the Bubly tent and swag handout. The ornate balloon display was brilliantly created by Buffalo Balloon Co. (they can be found on Instagram), we’d like to thank them for getting the display up early for us. Last but not least our incredible staff behind the line and in the kitchen deserves a huge thank you for their hard work and dedication to making this event happen. Chef Mike, Chef Tyree, and Chef Andrea organized and had their hand in everything that was eaten at the event.
Thank you to everyone that worked, and attended, this event and brought something unique to Festivall.

-Canisius Dining

Chartwells Higher Ed will host a street food-inspired event this Friday, September 24 in the Dining Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This event will take place nationwide in celebration of students and faculty being back together on campus. Lunch for this day will be FREE to everyone who wishes to join us.
There will be tacos, pizza bagels, novelty ice creams, games (with prizes), and much more. We are asking that everyone donate $3 at the door with 100 percent of the proceeds going towards The Food Pantry of Buffalo and combating food insecurity on our Canisius campus.
As part of this incredible food event, Celebrity Chef Jet Tila will live-stream make an appearance from LSU. Anyone who fills out a survey at the event will be entered to win one of his cookbooks. Our biggest giveaway will be run through social media as we are giving away $500 to one lucky person who attends and posts about it on their social media account.
