Visiting Professor Invited to Speak for University at Buffalo’s Poetics Plus

Dr. Joanna Mąkowska, Assistant Professor at the University of Warsaw and Visiting Professor at Canisius University, has been invited to present at the University of Buffalo’s “Poetics Plus.”

Dr. Mąkowska’s talk with take place Thursday, March 12, at 3 pm in 420 Capen Hall on the University at Buffalo North Campus. Not only will she discuss some of her previous translations projects, but she will also discuss her current project on documentary assemblages as a form of protest.

From Curiosity to Collaboration

A conversation between a Canisius University student and professor led to an innovative biochemistry lab—and a co-authored peer-reviewed publication.

The project demonstrates how hands-on research and close faculty mentorship at Canisius turn student curiosity into real-world scientific discovery.
