Ignatian Scholarship Day Applications Now Open

Applications will be accepted through Tuesday, March 10, by 5pm, and faculty/staff mentors are asked to review and endorse applications by Tuesday, March 17.

As a reminder, classes that normally meet on a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday pattern will not meet on Ignatian Scholarship Day. Classes that normally meet on Wednesday only or on a Monday and Wednesday pattern will still meet on Wednesday, April 15.

Accounting Professor’s Research Published in Top Journal

Shannon R. Jemiolo, associate professor of accounting, recently had a co-authored research study published in the top academic tax journal, Journal of the American Taxation Association. The article is currently available online for early access before its inclusion in a specific issue.

Philip Reed Co-authors Article on Assisted Dying for Compact Magazine

Illinois is the 13th state to pass a medical aid in dying act, with New York actively moving to be come the 14th state to legalize the options for terminally ill patients.
Canisius philosophy professor Philip Reed along with John Schwenkler, philosophy professor teaching in Illinois, co-authored an article for the online magazine Compact warning about profound harmful social changes that such laws inflict.
