Julie Anna Golebiewski, PhD, weighed in with The Buffalo News about the latest Buffalo Niagara job market report. Shawn O’Rourke, PhD, was quoted in the December 16 edition of The Buffalo News for a story about Canisius University receiving a $400k grant to grow its Western New York Prosperity Fellowship. The program, which is supported by the Bryant and Prentice Family Foundations, develops entrepreneurial-minded students into emerging professionals who will drive local job creation and economic development. This latest grant represents an increase in support from the foundations and broadens student access to tuition assistance, paid internships and enrichment opportunities. “This increased support … will allow us to help even more talented students gain the experiences and resources they need to build their careers and make a difference right here in Western New York,” said the dean of the Division of Business, Communications and Health Studies.
