Migration with Dignity: Border Realities and Collective Action Happens Oct. 6

The Office of Mission and Ministry, together with the Borders and Migrations Initiative, is honored to host a panel featuring Iñigo Casares Pérez, Education Coordinator of the Kino Border Initiative, along with two students who recently returned from the border service immersion trip led by Dr. Reitsma. The discussion will explore the political context of the borderlands, the lived realities of migrants, and ways we can respond within our own communities to accompany them.

Location: Grupp, 2nd floor Student Center
Time: Monday, Oct. 6 from 5 to 6 p.m.

Home Opener Weekend: Canisius Men’s Hockey Faces Clarkson and St. Lawrence

There’s never been a better time to watch college hockey!

With fresh talent surging across the sport, Canisius takes on two New York powerhouses—Clarkson and St. Lawrence—this home opening weekend.

Canisius will host the Clarkson Golden Knights on Friday at 7 p.m. and then the St. Lawrence Saints on Sunday at 5 p.m.—both at LECOM Harborcenter.

Oct. 12 and Oct. 19: Copyleaks Server Maintenance

Copyleaks will undergo routine server maintenance on Sunday, October 12 and Sunday, October 19, beginning at 3:00 a.m. each day. Maintenance is expected to last about four hours.

During this time, Copyleaks may be unable to process submissions, and faculty will not have access to reports or dashboards. Please plan accordingly.

Copyleaks: New D2L Dropbox Integration

Copyleaks can now be enabled directly in the D2L Dropbox—no separate, stand-alone  assignment required.

  1. Open the Dropbox Editor Screen.
  2. Scroll to the Evaluation & Feedback section.
  3. Click Add External Tool.
  4. The Copyleaks Asset Processor Tool should appear by default.
  5. Click Register Tool to activate.

This deeper integration not only makes it easier to grade and provide feedback on assignments; it should also help mitigate access issues.
