Now that we’re nearly a month into the semester, I hope you’re feeling settled and energized by the buzz of our returning and new students!
First, I want to take a moment to recognize my amazing team—Megan Valery, Jeannette Delaney, Phil Splawski, Vot’e Wavote, Abbie Reid, and Sarah Burke. Their hard work and dedication brought in this year’s freshman and transfer class. From late-night calls and weekend events to countless family conversations and long travel days, their efforts truly made a difference. I’m so proud of the heart and commitment they bring to Canisius, and I’m grateful to work alongside them.
With fall 2026 recruitment now in full swing, I’ll be sharing regular updates from Undergraduate Admissions throughout the year.
Upcoming Events
While not all of these require your direct involvement, it’s important to be aware of the events that will bring prospective students and families to campus. This year’s Open House will feature an exciting new format designed to create the very best experience for students and their families. More details will be coming soon, and Megan Valery, our Events Coordinator, will ensure everyone has the information they need.
Finally, I want to thank you in advance for the many ways you support Admissions. Whether it’s through events, one-on-one meetings with students, classroom shadow opportunities, or simply sharing your time and energy. Your involvement is invaluable and plays a vital role in building our incoming class.
Keep an eye out for updates on our progress throughout the year, and as always, please don’t hesitate to share ideas, questions, or even just a quick note.
Together, we’re shaping the next generation of Griffs and the excitement is just beginning!
With thanks,
Sarah Calzonetti, MBA
Director of Undergraduate Admissions
