Please join us for one of Canisius’ annual Jesuit traditions at the Mass of the Holy Spirit on Wednesday, September 10, at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Chapel.
All members of the campus community are welcome, regardless of their faith tradition. The academic calendar includes a special break in the class schedule so that all members of our campus community (students, faculty, and staff) have the opportunity to attend and participate in the Mass. Classes that usually meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during this time do not meet on September 10. Classes that typically meet on Wednesday only or on a Monday and Wednesday pattern will still meet on this day.
Part of our tradition includes a formal procession of faculty members from the Faculty Lounge through the quad in academic regalia. Faculty members interested in participating in the academic procession should be at the Old Main Faculty Lounge by 9:40 a.m. and complete the RSVP form. Faculty can process in their own regalia. Like last year, a limited number of doctoral gowns and regalia is available through our office by contacting Kira Varada (varadak@canisius.edu)
After the mass, brunch will be served in the Richard E. Winter ’42 Student Center Economou Dining Hall. For planning purposes, please complete this RSVP form.
