With the latest D2L update, instructors have the ability to print D2L quizzes directly in their course spaces.
This can be useful for a proctored make-up exam, for the purposes of accessibility, and more.
Here are the text instructions:
| 1 | In a D2L Course Quizzes Tab, click on the dropdown arrow to the right of the quiz we want to print. |
| 2 | Select Print in the menu that appears. |
| 3 | When we do, the page will update. On the left will be a Preview of the Quiz. The right will have Formatting Options. Also note that, in the upper-right of the quiz, is the Quiz Title. At a minimum, select Name field and Date field. |
| 4 | When ready, click on Print in the lower-right |
| 5 | The Print dialog will appear with a few options:
Destination: Select a Printer to print to we recommend MyGrayscalePrintjob for printing on campus. If we are using the Quiz Print tool from home, select Save As PDF. Then, when we are on-campus, we can print the PDFs). For Pages, double check that the last page is not simply a blank page. If the last page is not, the default All pages is fine. If the last page is blank, click on All and select Custom. In the new textbox, we can type in the pages to print (separated by a comma, ex. 1, 3, 5) or a range (ex, 1-3) or a combination (1, 3-5, 7, 9-11).* For Copies, type the number of copies to print. Make sure that Layout is set to Portrait. *Make sure Color is Black and white. *Note, Copies and Color will not appear if we chose the Save as PDF option. Additionally, for copies, if we have any randomization, we only need to print one copy of that version of the quiz. more below. |
| 6 | When ready, click on Print or Save in the lower-right and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If we used the Randomization option, we will need to repeat steps 4-6. However, our browser should remember our selections from the previous time. |
