For the second consecutive year, the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) has named Canisius University to its Transfer Honor Roll, which recognizes colleges and universities that foster exceptional transfer pathways and empower community college students to achieve excellence and success in their academic pursuits. Canisius University was one of just 251 higher education institutions nationwide to earn this recognition from PTK.
The Transfer Honor Roll is based on 40 key metrics related to the support and success of transfer students, including admissions practices, credit transfer policies, affordability, campus engagement, and bachelor’s degree completion. Institutions earning the Transfer Honor Roll distinction demonstrated measurable outcomes: 75 percent of transfer students graduate, 81 percent of their credits apply toward their majors, and 74 percent receive merit-based financial aid.
