On Dec. 12, Canisius English professor Mick Cochrane visited a class of literary arts students at Perpich Arts High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He spoke about the process of publishing a literary magazine and what it’s like to study creative writing at the college level. Malini Suchak weighed in on ways people can pet-proof their homes for the holidays in a Dec. 17 story in U.S. News & World Report.
The professor and chair of animal behavior, ecology and conservation (ABEC) noted that while pet safety requires thoughtful preparation and creative problem-solving, it doesn’t mean people have to sacrifice holiday traditions. Instead, Suchak suggested some adaptations to help ensure everyone – human and animal – can enjoy the season safely. Read the story.
