In D2L, instructors now have the Automatic Zero feature. This features allows instructors to automatically grade dropboxes and quizzes as 0 after the due date.
For example, let’s say we have a dropbox due today at 11:59 p.m. If we have the Automatic Zero feature turned on, any submission after 11:59 p.m. today (so 12:00 a.m.M tomorrow and onward) will be automatically graded 0 in the dropbox.
This feature can be quickly activated in the Grade Settings screen. We also recommend treating ungraded items as dropped while using this feature. It will prevent confusion in the future.
