Kira Rodriguez ’28 Wins Hassett Family Creative Writing Scholarship
Earlier this year, the Hassett Family Creative Writing Scholarship was established to support an incoming Canisius student who has demonstrated exceptional promise as a creative writer. It is a full tuition scholarship, renewable for four years.
The first Hassett Scholar is Kira Rodriguez ’28, from Tonawanda, NY. She was chosen based on her high school record, letters of recommendation and a writing sample. Kira will begin her studies at Canisius this fall as a member of the All-College Honors program with a major in creative writing.
