Canisius College will commemorate U.N. Holocaust Remembrance Day on Thursday, January 26 when it welcomes New York Times best-selling author Sharon Cameron to campus.  Cameron will read from her book The Light in Hidden Places.  The event takes place at 6:30 p.m. in the Regis Rooms of the Richard E. Winter ’42 Student Center, and is free and open to the public.  The event can also be viewed remotely at https://canisius.zoom.us/j/93290638596

The Light in Hidden Places is a historical novel based on the experiences of Stefania Podgorska, a Polish teenager who chose bravery and humanity by hiding 13 Jews in her attic during World War II with the help of her younger sister, Helena Podgorska.  The book will be available for purchase at a book signing and reception, following the presentation.
