Campus Candids

Many thanks to MMB Realty group and their sponsors for distributing more than 500 turkeys and produce bags this weekend at the Spillman Lot.  Student and staff volunteers helped out the neighborhood volunteers and President Steve Stout pitched in, too.  Thanks to the Department of Public Safety for overseeing the traffic flow and helping to make things run smoothly.

Student-Athletes Awarded Wilson Scholarships

Mary Wilson, from the Ralph Wilson Scholarship Fund, visited campus this week to award scholarships to five student-athletes from the Canisius College swimming team. The Ralph Wilson Scholarship Fund was started by the former Buffalo Bills owner in 1995. He funded the annual scholarships, which were to be awarded to students from Western New York who are participating in or interested in athletics. For a number of years now the Athletic Department has designated these grants for members of the varsity swimming program. Ralph Wilson endowed this scholarship program with a charitable bequest in his will.

His wife, Mary has come to campus annually to visit with the scholarship recipients, continuing a tradition her husband initiated when he started the program.
