The second in a series of inaugural events leading up to the installation of President Steve Stoute takes place tomorrow, Thursday, October 20.
Rev. Greg Boyle, founder of Homeboy Industries, the largest gang-intervention, rehabilitation and re-entry program in the world, and the author of three bestselling books, will visit Canisius as part of the Contemporary Writers Series.
Boyle will speak twice in the Montante Cultural Center. At 4:00 p.m., he will address Canisius College students, faculty and staff, and at 7:00 p.m., he will speak again at an event that is open to the public. There are no tickets or reservations for either event; seating is first-come, first-served, with doors opening a half-hour before the event. Books will be for sale in the evening from Talking Leaves.
The 7:00 p.m. event will be live streamed. To request the link, Email series coordinator Mick Cochrane (cochrane@canisius.edu).
