United Way Campaign

As President Stoute mentioned in his Email on October 5, Canisius College is part of the fabric of this community and our ability to make a difference in Erie County remains constant.

Erie County families who were barely getting by before are struggling more than ever and our community partners are fielding record requests for help. In order to help create better lives for our neighbors in need, we have officially launched our United Way campaign. By pledging your support, you can and will make a difference right here in this community. Your gift to the United Way is now more important than ever!

Each week we will conduct a prize drawing from the list of donors. We have received gifts from the staff of Academic Affairs, Athletics, the Bookstore, Human Resources, and Student Records and Financial Services for you to choose from. The united way is also giving away prizes each week to donors who pledge just $1 a week; the grand prize is a pair of 2023 Buffalo Bills Season Tickets! If you wish to make a pledge, you can make your gift online. Your Login is your Canisius College Email address.

LGBTQIA+ Employee Resource Group

The LGBTQIA+ Employee Resource Group is excited to announce its first meeting!

We are a new group who would like to invite employees to be a part of this growing community. We’d like to welcome persons of all LGBTQIA+ identities, as well as allies, to join us as we get to know each other and discuss our goals in a safe, judgement-free zone. Our first meeting will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 3:00 p.m. in the Library Conference Room, where refreshments will be offered. If you have questions, please contact Mary Braun at braun5@canisius.edu or Taylor Bowers at bowerst@canisius.edu.

Employee Resource Groups are voluntary, employee-led groups whose aim is to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with the organizations they serve. The groups exist to provide support and help in personal or career development, and to create a safe space where employees can bring their whole selves to the table. We look forward to seeing you at our first meeting!
