Canisius President Steve Stoute delivered his first State of the College address on Tuesday, October 4. College faculty, staff and administrators filled the Montante Cultural Center for the event, which included an approximately 30 minute presentation from President Stoute followed by a question-and-answer session.
President Stoute addressed the changing external environment faced by all of higher education. He then spoke about some of the internal challenges related to enrollment and revenue. Before opening the conversation up to the audience for questions, President Stoute suggested that “incredible opportunities” await for Canisius as the institution begins to embrace the changing higher education landscape, meet future students where they are and considers new partnerships and collaborations.
