Irish poet Michael Longley, who gave the 16th Annual Hassett Reading at Canisius College in 2018, has been awarded the €250,000 (£216,000) Feltrinelli International Prize for Poetry, awarded every five years by the Accademia dei Lincei in Rome.
Longley will accept the prize at a ceremony on November 11, 2022. Previous winners include W H Auden, Eugenio Montale and John Ashbery. You can read more by clicking here.
