Aimee Larson, director of the Physician Assistant Studies program, served as a panelist in Business First’s recent roundtable discussion titled “The Future of Healthcare: Education.” Larson was one of three panelists from area institutions who addressed how colleges are educating students to practice in an ever-changing and ever-challenging field. It’s time to register for your 2022-2023 employee parking tag. Your current tag expires on August 15, 2022. To register online for your parking tag simply go to myCanisius; login with username & password; click on Campus Services (left side), click Purchase Parking follow the prompts make sure to “submit”.

Canisius Students Awarded WNY Prosperity Fellowships

Eleven Canisius College students are recipients of a 2022-23 Western New York Prosperity Fellowship.  Generously supported by the Prentice Family Foundation, Western New York Prosperity Fellowships assist undergraduate and graduate students who have an entrepreneurial drive and want to make a difference in Western New York. The fellowship program identifies the most promising talent in Western New York and immerses them in a robust educational and professional development program with the goal of developing economic leaders within the community. In addition, the fellowship program combines financial assistance in the form of scholarships with paid, credit-bearing internships to assist fellows in acquiring both academic and practical experiences in their intended professions.

The Canisius recipients of the 2022-23 Western New York Prosperity Fellowships are:

August Food Truck Schedule

Canisius’ summer food trucks will finalize its season at the end of August! Plan ahead by checking out the August schedule along with links to their menus:

Tuesday, August 16 – The Great Aussie Bite  – Lyons Hall Lot – 11am – 2pm

Thursday, August 18 – LuGia’s Ice Cream on Wheels – Bagen Lot  – 11am – 2pm

Tuesday, August 23 – Center Street Smokehouse (see menu below) – Lyons Lot  – 11am – 1pm

Wednesday, August 24 – Buffalo’s Best Grill & Catering – Bagen Lot – 11am – 2pm

Additionally, as dates and times are subject to change and additional food trucks added or canceled, please keep an eye on The Dome for food truck updates throughout this month.
