Many thanks to the women’s soccer and basketball teams for helping The New Buffalo Institute at the Hamlin Park clean-up this past Saturday, April 23. Thank you to Stan Martin of REACH Buffalo, Council member Ulysses Wingo’s representative Tim Brown, Sen. Tim Kennedy and Zeneta Everhart, for organizing the event and hosting the students for lunch.
Concentrating on Wohlers Ave and Florida Streets, we filled at least 40 large garbage bags. Neighbors came out to support and members of the Buffalo Police Department also rolled up their sleeves. It was a great effort!
