Virtual Group Tours Met Cloisters
Students in Desire and Conquest: Urban Landscapes of Old Spain (Honors 340), taught by Margaret Stefanski, PhD, professor, Modern Languages, Literatures & Cultures and Davide Salvo, adjunct professor, Classics Department, participated in a virtual group tour at the Met Cloisters.
The students had the opportunity to see various examples of Romanesque architecture and art; such as the apse of San Martín de Fuentidueña, artifacts from the recent exhibition “Spain 1000-1200. Art at the Frontiers of Faith”, illuminated manuscripts of the Hebrew Bible, an Islamic ivory pyxis with animals from Madinat al -Zahra and a fresco depicting a camel from the Monastery of Sant Baudelio de Berlanga.
