Canisius Giving Day Recap

On #CanisiusGivingDay, the Canisius community rallied together and showed the power of the blue & gold, making Giving Day 2022 the biggest, and most impactful yet.

Wednesday, April 6 (and the days that followed) were nothing short of amazing. The #OneCanisius spirit proved stronger than ever with 1,879 donors making 2,295 gifts for a total of $500,706 (and counting), including $176,000 in unlocked challenges and matching gifts. Wow! Gifts were made in support of the Canisius Fund, academic programs, athletics teams, institutes and scholarships.

While Giving Day is an opportunity for alumni, family and friends to give back in support of students, I am proud to share that so many of our students (162, to be exact) also lent their support – in honor of those who will come after them. What a tremendous display of school spirit!

While Giving Day has passed, the impact of your gift – and the gifts of so many others – is just beginning. Thank you!
