Students in Honors 340. Desire and Conquest: Urban Landscapes of Old Spain, taught by Dr. Margaret Stefanski and Dr. Davide Salvo, participated in a virtual group tour at the Corning Museum of Glass https://home.cmog.org/
The students had the opportunity to see the permanent exhibitions of Roman and Islamic glass.
Katherine Larson, the curator of the Ancient Glass collection, answered several questions asked by students regarding the process of glass making, the diffusion and use of glass in the Roman Empire and Islamic World, the colors of glass, etc. Yvonne Widenor facilitated the contacts with the Museum.
