Let’s all give a great big Thank You to our student-athletes and New Griffin Orientation leaders and volunteers, who helped welcome the Canisius College Class of 2025 to campus last week. Undeterred by the record-breaking temperatures and Covid protocols, they helped make our first-year students’ transition to college seamless. Thank you!
The Canisius College Division of Institutional Advancement presented Sandy Miller, senior director of corporate, foundation and government relations, with the George M. Martin Advancement Award on Wednesday, August 18 during the division’s annual celebration.
Established in 1983 by the late George M. Martin, then executive vice president for administrative affairs at Canisius, the Martin Award is presented annually to a member of the college’s institutional advancement staff whose initiative, creativity and teamwork brings distinction to him/herself and the college.
The Institutional Advancement team celebrated with a Buffalo Double Decker Bus Tour showcasing the best of Buffalo, followed by lunch at Pearl Street Grill & Brewery where Sandy was honored for her outstanding performance last fiscal year.
Do you know a student who loves Canisius and wants to make a difference on campus? Encourage them to consider working for the Office of Annual Giving & Stewardship. The team is looking for student workers for the fall semester. This is NOT a work study position. To apply, forward the information above to a student you know.
