The AJCU’s Conference on Diversity & Equity rewards students from Jesuit institutions yearly with the Bill Davis Scholarship. The scholarship is named after Bill Davis, former director of the Upward Bound Program at Loyola University Chicago.

Rosalia Sedano ’22, was one of the full scholarship recipients. Rosalia is a biology major at Canisius, pursing minor degrees in sociology and criminal justice. She has been on the Dean’s List for four semesters and participated in the CEEP program during the 2020-21 academic year.

Please join us in congratulating Rosalia on this accomplishment!

This year, Canisius had eight students submit applications for the scholarships. A completed application consisted of demographic information, a personal statement and an essay on what the global COVID-19 pandemic has taught individuals about a Jesuit education.. The full $500 scholarship was awarded to three students and an additional three students were awarded an honorable mention of $250.
