Though the traditional pomp and circumstance had to be curtailed, Canisius concluded its academic year on a high note, hosting several socially-distanced and sized-down commencement ceremonies for the graduating classes of 2021 – and 2020. The hybrid format included fully-virtual graduation ceremonies and multiple in-person graduation walks, which allowed for graduates to celebrate with their classmates.

The college is grateful to all those who volunteered throughout the past two weeks to make Commencement a success for its students. Canisius also extends its congratulations to those employees who earned degrees from the college in the past year:

Lisa Fischer, associate registrar for student records and financial services; master’s degree, higher education and student affairs administration (HESAA);

Ryan Louis, head coach for women’s soccer, master’s degree (online), sport administration.

Kelly Schultz, associate controller, master’s degree, business administration (MBA);

Jenyia Wilson, coordinator of academic support services in the COPE Office, master’s degree, higher education and student affairs administration (HESAA);
