The Human Resources Department is pleased to announce that Michele Folsom is the Canisius College Employee of Distinction for April 2021. Michele was nominated for the award by Mary Koehneke, associate director of student records and financial services.
At Canisius for a little more than 29 years, Michele currently works as director of administrative computing for the ITS Department. She was selected for this award because of her constant willingness to help, her pleasant demeanor and her extensive knowledge and experience in IT. Specifically, Michele was praised for her assistance with a recent project in the Financial Aid Department where she figured out a way to improve a process which ended up saving the department a great deal of time.
Michele genuinely cares about the student experience through her desire to simplify processes and make things run smoothly. Financial aid is just one of many offices that have benefited from her expertise. Michele has made a positive impact on the entire campus community through her strong work ethic and dedication to the college.
