May Submissions for Employee of Distinction Program

EE of Distinction photo.gif

The Employee of Distinction has been selected for the month of April. Stay tuned for that announcement to be made in The Dome later this week.

Submissions for May nominations are now open. Nominate a co-worker for a job well done by completing the Employee of Distinction nomination form here.

The Employee of Distinction program provides an excellent opportunity to show appreciation and support for co-workers and to reward them for all they do. The application will request an explanation as to why a candidate is worthy of the award. A list of factors to consider when submitting a nomination include the nominee’s history of accomplishments, level of determination, motivation and interpersonal skills. The information provided in the application will be used to make a fair and objective selection.

Upon supervisor approval, the Employee Engagement Team will review all nominations and vote each month.

Please have all May submissions completed no later than Friday, May 21. Submissions after that date will be considered for the month of June.

Once a decision is made for May, the Employee of Distinction will be featured in The Dome.

Contact the Human Resources Department at Ext. 2240 or Bethany in the President’s Office at Ext. 2100 with any questions.

Third-Party Integrations in D2L

This summer, as you prepare your courses for the fall 2021 semester, consider having third-party integrations for textbooks, online activities or exam tools added to D2L Course Spaces.

Before requesting this, carefully read COLI’s policy on these integrations, which can be found here.

These integrations vary widely in quality and the extent to which vendors or providers support students and faculty. COLI and ITS’ first priority is the health and reliability of course spaces and tools used by all faculty, and we will reject any tool we think potentially threatens any or all courses.

Plan to request these integrations as soon as possible. The last date to submit requests will be Thursday, July 15, 2021. COLI’s successful implementation of these integrations depends on the process according to the third-party content providers’ instructions.
