Canisius College presents a live webinar by Paul Harvey, PhD, on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.  Harvey is Distinguished Professor of History and Presidential Teacher Scholar at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS).  Harvey researches, writes and teaches in the field of American history from the 16th century to present.

Harvey was named Distinguished Professor of History at UCCS in 2017. That same year, he was designated to give the Shriver Lectures in American History at Stetson University in Florida; those lectures later were published as the book “Southern Religion in the World: Three Stories.” He was named a Presidential Teacher Scholar in 2009.

Harvey is the author/editor of thirteen books and numerous articles, including most recently, “Howard Thurman and the Disinherited: A Religious Biography” (2020), “Christianity and Race in the American South: A History” (2016), and “Bounds of Their Habitation: Religion and Race in American History” (2016).
