The third annual WNY Refugee Film Festival kicks off on Thursday, January 28 with the premiere of “Memory is Our Homeland.” The film tells the little-known story of World War II Polish refugees in East Africa and features a director’s talk-back with the filmmaker, Jonathan Durand.
The WNY Refugee Film Festival is sponsored by Journey’s End Refugee Service. This year’s event is virtual and donation-based. Information on the film and how to register can be found here.
