Members of our Canisius Community,

Like so many of our other special campus events this year, we have had to cancel our in-person celebration of Veterans Day.  In place of our traditional ceremony held either by the Greatest Generation monument in front of Bagen Hall or in our Veteran Resource Center in Old Main, this year we wish to honor the courageous and selfless individuals who protect and serve our nation with the following message of appreciation (above).

To those who have served or presently serve, we owe you an extraordinary debt of gratitude.  I am very proud that Canisius has been a long-standing participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which provides tuition benefits for veterans, and that Canisius is consistently ranked among the top 20 universities in the North for veterans by U.S. News and World Report (#9 for 2021).

May God bless the brave veterans and service members around the world and in our community and always keep them in His care.

With my thanks and prayers,

John J. Hurley

President
