The New York State Paid Family Leave deduction will increase beginning January 1, 2021. The current deduction of 0.27% of an employee’s weekly wage will increase to 0.511%. The maximum contribution for 2021 will be $385.34.
Also in 2021, the Paid Family Leave benefit will increase to 67% of an employee’s average weekly wage, not to exceed $971.61 per week. The number of weeks of Paid Family Leave will also increase from 10 weeks to 12 weeks.
