New York State is making it easier to cast your vote on Election Day. New York State Election Law guidelines entitle employees, who are registered, to two hours of paid time off to vote if they do not have at least four consecutive hours to vote either between the opening of the polls and the beginning of their shifts, or between the end of their shifts and the closing of the polls.
If you need time off to vote, please notify your supervisor no less than two working days before Election Day – Tuesday, November 3.
The election law guidelines are posted on the Human Resources board and will remain posted until the polls close on Election Day. Please contact Human Resources at 888-2240 with any questions.
Let’s get out and vote!
