Vice President for Enrollment Management Danielle Ianni, PhD, was one of several local higher education leaders interviewed by The Buffalo News for an article about the erosion of enrollment at local colleges and universities. Every employer in New York State is required to provide employees with sexual harassment prevention training on an annual basis. Canisius College is committed to maintaining a workplace free from sexual harassment and is partnering with CypherWorx to provide online Combating Sexual Harassment in the Workplace Training. This interactive training will:
- include an explanation of sexual harassment consistent with guidance issued by the Department of Labor in consultation with the Division of Human Rights
- include examples of conduct that would constitute unlawful sexual harassment
- include information concerning the federal and state statutory provisions concerning sexual harassment and remedies available to victims of sexual harassment
- include information regarding filing a complaint and all available forums for adjudicating complaints
- include information addressing conduct by supervisors and any additional responsibilities for such supervisors
We ask that you complete Combating Sexual Harassment in the Workplace (NY) by Friday, October 30.

Join the Office of Mission & Identity on Sunday, October 18 for the third-part of the “Saunter and Spirituality” series. The group will meet at Reinstein Woods at 10:30 a.m. Feel free to arrive anytime between 8:30-11:00 a.m.
Come alone or bring a family member for a self-paced walk. The group will reflect on “the sacrament of letting go” and ponder themed reflection questions while sitting, walking or running along the trail. Return to the parking lot for some optional sharing.

The Office of Mission & Identity invites you to participate in a virtual, four-part Ignatian Yoga series focused on “The Teachings of Autumn.”
Ignatian Yoga is a sponsored ministry by Jesuits Midwest and incorporates practices from both yoga and Ignatian Spirituality. It is open to participants of all levels and experience of yoga. Each session will include an opening reflection by instructor Pat Cassidy, 30-minute practice and closing small group reflections. Click here to register for one or all of the sessions.
