The Healing Power of Love in Action

Feast of St. Francis.png

The Catholic Climate Covenant is making available its 2020 Feast of St. Francis program.  The full 90-minute educational program can be downloaded here for individual or group use.

The Feast of St. Francis programs is framed through St. Francis’ famous prayer, the “Canticle of Creatures,” which he wrote to illuminate our current journey.  The program ends by offering ways to act, including courageous conversations with friends and family, learning more about our civic duties as Catholics, pledging to vote and ways to embrace the call to protect life, our vulnerable communities and neighbors and God’s creation.

Voting is an Act of Love Campaign

Voting ISN.jpg

“Love ought to show itself in deeds more than in words.”

These powerful words from St. Ignatius of Loyola remind us that casting a ballot can be an act of love. It is a way to live out the greatest commandments, to love and serve God and to love our neighbor.

This fall, exercise the right and responsibility to vote for candidates and issues that support the common good and concern for the most vulnerable people in our society.

The Ignatian Solidarity Networks’ Voting is an Act of Love campaign offers a variety of resources and tools.

Check, register, pledge.
Register or check your voter registration, then pledge to cast your vote this fall!

Learn and pray.
Learn about core justice issues at stake in this year’s election and how they relate to faith and Catholic social teaching.
