Webinar Series: White Faculty as “Allies” in the Academy
On Tuesday, July 21, the Wabash Center for teaching and learning in theology and religion will host a webinar, open to the campus community. “Criss-crossing Boundaries of Structural and Personal: White Faculty as ‘Allies’ in the Academy” will engage participants in an interracial dialogue about the challenges to and possibilities for meaningful antiracism that can be manifested if white faculty make intentional choices about committing to their colleagues and challenging their institutions to become places where faculty and scholars of color may thrive.
The webinar will begin at 3:00 p.m. and be hosted by Rev. Dr. Melanie L. Harris, an associate professor of religion at Texas Christian University, and Rev. Dr. Jennifer Harvey, an award-winning author, educator and public speaker.
