The college’s annual GriffFest had to be sidelined this year, due to the COVID-19 crisis but all was not lost.

Jeff McConnell, PhD, chair of computer science, hosted his own virtual GriffFest for students in the department. Coordinated via Zoom, the online gathering took place on Friday, May 1 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., and included some pretty impressive moving parts. Among them, a working LEGO roller coaster and Ferris wheel. McConnell also put together a COVID-themed playlist for the party with hits such as “Don’t Stand so Close to Me,” by the Police and Eric Carmen’s “All By Myself.”
