It’s Flashback Friday!
Each Friday, we will include historical facts about the college in The Dome, on Facebook and Twitter. Flashback Fridays are another part of our yearlong sesquicentennial celebration, which culminates in September 2020 when Canisius turns 150 years old.
Today, we flash back to May 1, 2011 when the women’s lacrosse team won its first MAAC Championship against top-seeded Fairfield. The Golden Griffins defeated the Stags, 13-8, and extended its best season in school history (14-5) by qualifying for the NCAA Tournament play-in round.
