Flashback Friday

It’s Flashback Friday!

Each Friday, we will include historical facts about the college in The Dome, on Facebook and Twitter.  Flashback Fridays are another part of our yearlong Sesquicentennial celebration, which culminates in 2020 when Canisius turns 150 years old.

Today, we flash back to February 1925, when Canisius announced the formal completion of the left and right wings of Old Main. Canisius’ growing enrollment had necessitated the expansion of the college’s signature classroom building. The new wings were each built adjacent to either side of Old Main’s original structure. The construction was completed by Boehm Bros. Inc.
