The Canisius College Frank G. Raichle Lecture Series on Law in American Society welcomes Randy E. Barnett to campus on Wednesday, March 25 at 7:15 p.m. in the Grupp Fireside Lounge, located on the second floor of the Richard E. Winter ’42 Student Center.  The event, titled “Is the U.S. a Democracy or a Republic (and Why Does it Matter)?,” is free and open to the public.  Barnett’s lecture will be followed by a question and answer session. 

Randy Barnett is the Carmack Waterhouse Professor of Legal Theory at the Georgetown University Law Center, where he teaches constitutional law and contracts, and serves as director of the Georgetown Center for the Constitution.
