Ignite Awards Luncheon 2020

Please join the Women’s Business Center (WBC) at Canisius College on Wednesday, March 18 for the Ignite Awards ceremony. The annual event celebrates women business owners who have created success and supports the women-owned businesses that are looking to grow. The event will be held in Science Hall from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

According to the Harvard Business Review, “women start businesses at twice the rate of men but only 2% of women-owned businesses break the $1 million threshold in terms of revenues.”

Through the WBC’s 16 years of existence, the center has served thousands of women seeking to launch new businesses or scale up their existing businesses. Last year alone, the WBC’s economic impact helped launch 19 new businesses; supported 363 jobs and fostered more than $3.80 million in revenue growth.

The Ignite Awards luncheon will be a telling visual of support with business resources and corporate services that serve small businesses. The energy will be palpable and meaningful connections will be made by all, as this very unique event will match up attendees at the tables with potential clients, partners and/or mentors.
