It’s Flashback Friday!

It’s Flashback Friday! Each Friday we will include historical facts about the college in The Dome, on Facebook and Twitter. Flashback Fridays are another part of our yearlong Sesquicentennial celebration, which culminates in 2020 when Canisius turns 150 years old.

Flashback to 1992 – Canisius appointed Joan Connell, PhD, vice president for academic affairs, in November 1992. This made her the first woman and the first non-Jesuit in Canisius history to hold the position.

For more information about Sesquicentennial events, please visit www.canisius.edu/150.

Employee Engagement Survey Rollout

The rollout of the 2019 Employee Engagement Survey is scheduled for Monday, November 25.

This survey is designed to provide employees with a venue to offer open feedback and a direct voice to the leadership team of the college. The employee engagement team was established in 2017 and has worked diligently in developing recommendations based on the engagement survey results. The engagement team along with the senior leadership team have worked in partnership to implement many of these recommendations.

The senior leadership team remains committed to improving employee engagement and is again seeking your input through the 2019 Annual Employee Engagement Survey.

Watch for an email on Monday, November 25 that will include a direct link to complete the anonymous survey. Please contact Linda Walleshauser, associate vice president for human resources and compliance, at Ext. 2244 with any questions.
