Join the Religious Studies & Theology Department on Friday, November 15 from 1:00 – 2:15 p.m. in the library instruction room, located on the main floor, to hear the story of the Jesuits’ sale of 272 slaves to save Georgetown University in 1838. A webinar with Cheryllyn Branche, one of the descendants of this sale, and Rev. Timothy Kesicki, SJ, president of the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States, will be viewed.
