The busiest weekend of the sports year is currently upon us. Put your weekend plans on hold and schedule a bunch of blue and gold into the weekend ahead.

The Canisius men’s hockey team looks to get on track against archrival and Battle of the Bridge opponent Niagara University. The Griffs meet the Eagles Friday, November 15 at 7:35 p.m. at the LECOM Harborcenter. The two teams meet again on Saturday, November 16 at 4:05 p.m. at the LECOM Harborcenter. This is an important conference matchup for both teams. Reminder, the hockey team will wear its retro-jerseys on Friday night as a part of their participation in sesquicentennial festivities.

The men’s basketball team hosts its home opener on Saturday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Koessler Athletic Center against Bucknell University. New Era caps will be given away at the door. Click here to add this event to your calendar.

The women’s basketball team also hosts its home opener on Sunday, November 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the KAC against Big Four opponent St. Bonaventure University. Free koozies will be given away with your ticket to the women’s game. Click here to add this event to your calendar.

The volleyball team closes out its regular season with a pair of conference matches. The Griffs clinched a MAAC Tournament spot with its win over Marist College on Sunday, November 10. The Griffs will host first place, undefeated Fairfield University on Saturday, November 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the KAC. Click here to add this event to your calendar. Canisius will then host sixth place Quinnipiac University on Sunday, November 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the KAC. Click here to add this event to your calendar. The Griffs are currently in a four-way battle for second place with only one game in the standings separating Canisius, Niagara, Rider and Marist.
