The campus community is invited to hear the story of the Jesuits’ sale of 272 slaves to save Georgetown University in 1838 on Friday, November 15 from 1:00 – 2:15 p.m. in the library instruction room, located on the main floor. The webinar will host Cheryllyn Branche, one of the descendants of this sale, and Rev. Timothy Kesicki, SJ, president of the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States.
