Students in the physical and health education teacher education (P/HETE) program recently completed a partnership project with Buffalo Public Schools (BPS) #17.

Throughout the semester, P/HETE majors from Dr. Clancy Seymour’s EDU 100: Introduction to Teaching course completed a series of teaching labs that included instruction in fitness education, fundamental movement patterns and manipulative skills.  The children from BPS were very excited and the joint venture allowed P/HETE majors to learn about best practices in physical education and pedagogy.

Special thanks to Phil Smith ’13 and Tricia Vezina, physical education teachers at BPS #17, for their help and collaboration.
