America magazine featured a story about Canisius in its July 25 edition. The article, entitled “The Jesuit College that Stepped Up when a Refugee Shelter was Overwhelmed,” highlights the ways in which Canisius and the entire Buffalo community answered the call when more than 100 asylum seekers from Africa arrived at the city’s Vive Shelter.

Canisius President John J. Hurley and Director of Mission & Identity Sarah Signorino ’04, MS ’09, ’12 are both quoted in the story, which can be read by clicking here.

The Buffalo News reported on the newest STEM component incorporated into the summerMAX program, hosted by the Institute for Autism Research at Canisius College. The new addition is supported by a grant from AT&T and WNY STEM Hub.
