The next Academic Computing Advisory Committee (ACAC) meeting will be Wednesday, March 13 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the President’s Board Room. This is a one-time change from the usual meeting on the first Wednesday of each month.

The discussion will center around the replacement of Scantron with something more economical. Last year, approximately $10,000 was spent on Scantron jobs. Scott Clark, director of user services, will introduce alternative methods like open-source software.

The February meeting included discussion of tools to combat plagiarism, a student pilot program of AppsAnywhere and how you can help the gorillas by recycling your cellphone. Read more about it on the ACAC blog.

ACAC is a committee of faculty and staff that provides input on issues related to computing and technology on campus. All are welcome to attend.
