Griffin Week continues tonight, Wednesday, February 27, as the women’s and men’s basketball teams host Niagara University in a key Battle of the Bridge matchup.
The women’s game takes place at 5:00 p.m. at the KAC and features two teams locked in a five-way tie for fourth place in the MAAC. The top five teams in the league receive a first round bye. The men’s game takes place at 7:30 p.m. at the KAC. Click here to add this event to your calendar. Canisius seeks to move into a tie for first place with Iona. The Gaels are 11-6, while Canisius is in a four-way tie for second at 10-6. The Griffs need to secure a win tonight and on Friday, March 1 against Siena, and have Iona lose at Rider on Friday night in order to have a chance at the top seed in the MAAC Tourney. Canisius has already clinched a first round bye.
